The Festival

Fermhamente, the Science Festival of Fermo, is one of the most innovative formats in the diffusion of scientific dissemination in Italy. It is recognized as a reference event for the quality of the program, the originality of the organization and the enthusiastic participation of internationally renowned speakers. The primary objective of the Festival is to make available to visitors in the buildings of the historic center of Fermo, the only Italian city, together with Turin and recently Palermo, recognized by Unesco as a Learning city, in a totally free way, scientific proposals of the highest quality, presented and explained by professionals in the sector in an informal, punctual and brilliant way. The Festival is aimed at schools, individual users, groups, students, families, science enthusiasts and, above all, the “entry level” profile, that is, that segment of generalist television derivation that faces the subject without specific preparation. Since its inception, the Festival has been characterized as an immersive event in the city of Fermo. In addition to the public, professors and speakers, the protagonists of the event are the historic locations of Fermo, set up for workshops or conferences to offer the public the opportunity to enjoy the cultural heritage in an unusual way, with a view to a mutual enhancement between excellence scientific and historical-artistic heritage.
